God's way is truth. It is important to remember, that telling one lie, instantly opens the door to Satan the father of lies and will most certainly set you up for another lie.

There is no way we can claim to be living godly lives when we lie. Lies contradict what God says, they are untruths. God is the Truth and every word He speaks is true, He has no ability to lie.

St.Thomas Aquinas wrote: "Faith is certain. It is more certain than all human knowledge because it is founded on the very word of God who cannot lie." (CCC157).

Satan can hold God’s people captive if they believe his lies. He caused Adam and Eve to give up their inheritance, their kingship on the earth, just by convincing them to believe a lie.

The lie is what holds us captive and we need to defeat the lie with the TRUTH.
